Since elementary school, I’ve been challenging myself through endurance events, always driven to test my limits and turn the impossible into something achievable. At just 10 years old, I completed my first 10-kilometer race. Since then, these experiences have not only pushed me physically and mentally but have also strengthened the bond with my dad and we have taken on most of these challenges side by side.
Events Completed:
• Boulder Boulder 10K
• Triple Bypass Bike Ride (120 miles)
• Austin Marathon
• Harvest Moon Half-Ironman
I got scuba certified when I was 14, and ever since, diving has been a part of nearly every vacation my family takes. It’s given me the chance to explore not just the land, but the world beneath the waves. I’ve encountered sights I never imagined such as a plane and shipwreck, lionfish, eagle rays, octopus, sea turtles, sharks, groupers, eels, and so much more.
In the summer of 2023, I joined the American Poolplayers Association (APA) and began playing in a competitive league setting with a team. We play for the chance to qualify for Las Vegas, and it’s been a great learning experience. Being part of the league has deepened my understanding of the game’s strategies and complexities.
I’ve really enjoyed getting into woodworking recently. Building things has always been a creative outlet for me, from Legos and Minecraft when I was younger to crafting my own original pieces now. It’s not just about creating something new, it’s also become a way for my dad and I to spend meaningful time together while working on projects side by side.
